All the "monkeys" waiting to discover the zoo!
How cute are they?
Faith smashed in between mommy & daddy on the train!
Aaron and I on the choo-choo train!
WOW - Hailee's almost as big as the gorilla!
They had a LONG day at the zoo and couldn't wait to fall asleep on the drive down to the warf.
We decided to surprise the girls and take them to SF for the day! Not only were we planning on spending the day at the zoo and the warf but it was a big surprise who we were going to meet - the Sanchez family! Hailee & Faith were so excited to be at the zoo with some of their best friends. All the girls had a ball running around and discovering all the different animals. We walked miles and miles it seemed (practice for Disneyland!) and it was amazing to see how the zoo has changed since we were kids. I think their favorite (and ours) exibition was the africa section where giraffes were running all over as were the zebra's. It was amazing and felt as if we were on a safari watching all the different animals interact! After a LONG day at the zoo we drove down to Fisherman's Warf to have dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. Hailee & Faith had never been and they were amazed at all the animals and the "storm show". After filling our bellies we walked around Pier 39 and the girls got some hot chocolate and I had my decaf mocha to fight the cold wind! BURRR . . . . it was dark by then and we weren't used to the cool air of the SF Bay so we decided to pack up and head home around 9pm. Needless to say the girls (and Aaron) slept on the way home and didn't wake up until almost 9am the next morning! Talk about a fabulous day trip! Next stop for the Smith family . . . . DISNEYLAND! Yipee!
