Snow trip to Tahoe!

The first weekend in March we took the girls up to Tahoe for a long weekend.  It had been quite awhile since we had taken them to the snow and we wanted to make a weekend of it.  Andy, Lisa and their girls joined us and we headed up on a Thursday after school, stopped along the way to pick up some In-N-Out.  It was the first time we had eaten fast food in months (this is the only "fast food" we now eat).  We got up to the cabin in the early evening and checked it all out, unpacked and then started to relax!  On Friday we wanted to go check out Northstar and see what Aaron had painted years ago.  It was beautiful and sunny.  Though there was not a lot of snow there was still enough for the girls to enjoy.  After getting some ice cream and walking around we decided to head back to the cabin.  We all stayed up VERY late the previous night and woke up extra early so we were all tired.  When we got back the girls all went in the hot tub while the adults hung out and played cards, pool and made dinner.

On Saturday we went on a mission to look for enough snow to go sledding.  I was getting a bit scared because I thought we wouldn't find anything.  Then low and behold we found a GREAT hill on the side of the road on the way up to Mt. Rose.  We all got out and let the fun begin!  The girls had never been sledding before so they didn't realize how fast you go.  That being said before we could even notice Tegan and Allison were FLYING down the hill.  We all noticed at the same time and I tried to catch them . . . Lisa tried to catch them, but tripped and fell . . . . Andy tried to catch them and then as if in slow motion, they smashed right into a baby car seat and flew off the side of a snow ledge.  Thankfully there was not a baby in the seat (we all thought there might have been).  When we all made it over to the crash site, Tegan was laughing and asking to do it again while Ally, wasn't so thrilled with the ride.

We spent a few hours sledding and everyone got good and wore out!  We headed back to the cabin for the last night.  Aaron, Andy and I stayed up late playing cards, pool and then went in the hot tub where it began to lightly snow.  It was SO beautiful!  The next morning we woke to snow falling and the girls were beyond thrilled to see it snow for the first time!  After taking our time we realized that we needed to head home.  After all, all good things must come to an end.

Hailee and Cammy having a blast sledding!
Daddy sledding with Faith and Tegan . . . hey Tegan, open your eyes!  :o)
