Let the games begin!! Saturday was opening day of Hailee's softball. This year she has moved up a division to the 8 and unders. Her team coach actually teaches a local high school's softball team so he's really good for the girls to learn from. Hailee's team is the purple vampires. She had so many cute names picked out like the purple princesses, the purple panthers or plum perfect but of course she goes and all the girls decide on the purple vampires. I'm assuming it's because vampires are so popular right now (Wizards of Waverly Place, Twilight, etc.). ANYWAY, it was a pretty nice day on opening day. Not too hot or cold which was nice because last year Hailee about got heat stroke. It was also organized A LOT better. They had their parade, then the kids got to play carnival type games, the River Cat mascot was there, and then the girls played a scrimage game. Hailee did well and had lots of fun. Should be a FUN season!
