Well it is officially a New Year and I'm already behind! Before Christmas we took the girls on the Polar Express. I've been wanting to go every year and we just haven't been able to for one reason or another. This year we FINALLY were able to make it. It was so much fun! The girls really enjoyed it. They had preformers on the train, handed out cookies and hot cocoa, read the book and then Santa borded the train and handed out bells to all who believed. After our fun trip to the "North Pole" we decided to end the fun adventure with a yummy dinner out.
For Christmas Eve we went over to Mimi's house and had lots of yummy food and did an ornament exchange. Tony, Jenn, Mirella, Andy, Lisa, Camryn, Allison, Mike & Mary were all there as well. When we returned home we set out a letter, cookies and carrots for santa and his reindeer. We then went outside and the girls sprinkled magic reindeer food on the lawn for all the reindeers so they would be able to find their way to our house.
Christmas was a great day. Hailee was the first up (as always) and she ran in our room and jumped on our bed to let us know Santa came. After tearing through all the presents we had a yummy cinnamon roll breakfast. The girls all played with their new goodies during the day and then we headed over to Mimi's house again for a yummy steak dinner.
We didn't do much for New Years - in fact I think we were all in bed early. I will say that so far this year has been great (even though there has only been 4 days of it!). We've had lots of family time, lots of working out in the yard and Aaron and I were able to go on a double date with some good friends. So far 2010 is off to a great start!
