As we aproached Faith's birthday I questioned her as I do all the girls . . "what would you like to do for your birthday?". Without even taking time to blink her eyes she quickly replied "see dolphins". Well lucky for us (and her) we live close to Discovery Kingdom so her wishes could be fullfilled. Now anyone that knows Faith knows that for over a year now she has been obsessed with all things dolphins. I'm not actually sure where it even came from or how it started but dolphins truly are her passion. I honestly thought that it would fade over a few weeks but her appetite has only increased for the need to know everything about them!
Lets just say for her birthday it was dolphin land in the Smith house! She got dolphin clothes, dolphin jewelry, dolphin books, dolphin towels, dolphin bath toys and of course a trip to see dolphins in real life! What she didn't know is that we had planned for her to feed and pet the dolphins when we got there. We puttered around the dolphin area and then when we finally told her that part of her present was to pet, train and feed a dolphin I thought she was going to pass out from excitement!! It truly was one of the most amazing things to see. She was not afraid in the least and soaked up every second of it.
After a day of roller coasters, animals, dolphins and amazing shows we headed to her choice of restaurant, Fenton's! We all dined on yummy food finished by HUGE ice cream sundae's! It was a wonderful day in which many wonderful memories were made.
Seven years ago God gave us an amazing blessing when Faith was born into this family. Today I reflect on how amazing this beautiful girl is. Faith is . . .
